The Greens Committee has decided that the rakes at the bunkers will be left on the outside with the rake handle facing the tee box on a 6 month trial basis

AWGA  Jan Topolski said the three teams that participated in the State Medallion had a good time, unfortunately they did not place.  The good news was Chaille Womack had a chip-in Birdie, Congratulations Chaille!!

Membership  Joella Austin announced Ginny Wonner as a new member

New Business Cheri asked for comments on the Girls Just Want To Have Fun Tournament.  Possible ideas are not to have a meal after golf, just a social hour after or changing the date from winter to possibly late March or early April.  Some of the members who did attend the event were happy with the way it is

A big thank you to Bonnie Vanni and Julie Mocek for volunteering to take over the responsibilities as Hospitality Chair.  Their first event to organize is going to be a pot luck at the Pickle Ball Pavilion. This will be in early April after our 9:00 shotgun.  Everyone is asked to bring a serving of food and your own beverage

Old Business  Linda Roeller said we have received three invitationals, Dove Mountain on March 10, Oro Valley March 16, cost is $60 and Saddlebrook on March 30, and the cost is $65.  There is an Invitational Book in the QC9LGA area at the Pro Shop to sign up for one or all of these events

The Valentine’s Day Social will be held on February 13, sign-up sheet is in the Pro Shop, deadline is February 9. It is a fun day so bring a friend, neighbor, or spouse, but remember, they must have a GHIN Number

Junior Tournament will be held March 26th and the cost is $30.50, this includes golf fees and lunch

A sign-up sheet is at the Pro Shop for the Mountainview/Preserve No Frills Tournament to be held Tuesday, March 3rd.   Bee-Line Bus is holding the date for us for this event

Tournament Committee  Jan Topolski announced effective February 6, 2020, the maximum to be taken on any given hole is 11 (Yes, you still need to add an x if you go over 11). This is due to the increase in maximum indexes from USGA from 45 to 54, and that we raised our maximum course handicap from 25 to 29.  Course handicaps will be updated weekly on Mondays before the pairings are completed

The Tournament Committee has added more opportunities to play with friends.  They did not increase the team play but added about 6 dates throughout the year that you can pick who you play with

If you are interested in seeing what and how the Tournament Committee works, come and see a brief demonstration in the Computer Room at the Arts/Technology Building, Tuesday, February 11 at 9 am.  Contact Jan if you would l like to attend

Starting in March tee times will be at 9:30, April and May 9:00

Handicap Chair  Sally Abbott was not in attendance.  We want to congratulate Sally, after passing the test she is now a Certified Handicap Chairperson

Sunshine Committee  Sue Gunter and Wanda Martin sent out get well cards to John Gunter and Billie Harsh

Rules  Diane Gordon and Diane Wilson went over the club rules.  A question was raised, do we have a choice to use the club rules or AGA rules, it was decided you have the right to make a judgment call, your choice

The next General Meeting will be held on March 5 at 10:30 am

The meeting was adjourned at 11:26 am
